I plan and send
emails biweekly.
I am in charge of planning the sales events for our website. We have 2 sales that run every week - a “weekday” sale and a “weekend 3 Day” sale. With these sales campaigns, I also organize biweekly email campaigns that go out to our newsletter subscribers. Recently, our email campaigns also went under a new design renewal and I was in charge of designing and implementing the change to the design and updating any basic HTML code if needed.
Our previous email layout consisted of multiple banners that were not visually effective because they all looked similar in design styles, so nothing stood out. I wanted to add more default promotional banners to circulate with every email so I made a list of different sales and categories that can be used as our default promotional banners. In our weekday banner, I combined three banners that were previously used into one to promote a new item, a best seller, and a value set item. This freed up a lot of space so that I could add the promotional banners to the weekday emails as well instead of just the weekend banners. I also reduced the number of promotional sale items from eight to six for the weekend banner to stay consistent with the new design template.
I plan, photograph & upload to Instagram.
I am in charge of planning and directing photo shoots for Instagram. I research and analyze trends for social media accounts and also take note of which posts do well. I plan what kind of photos need to be taken, then I go through our inventory and see which items can be marketed through Instagram and request the items for the photo shoot.
We have a photo shoot once a week and take images for one week’s worth of posts. I direct the photo shoot and arrange the items and take the photograph at the angle I want the shot taken. I sort through the images and crop them to size and edit the images for uploading. We use later.com to schedule our posts to our account. I also plan weekly giveaways for our followers and often times advertise certain sale promotions on the account as well.
